Abstract

Reakcijama kondenzacije 2-hidrazinobenzotiazola s različitim aromatskim aldehidima (Ar−CHO) nastaje 2-benzotiazolilhidrazonski ligantni sustav H2L (H2L = Bzt−NH−N=C−Ar; Bzt=benzotiazolil) povećane koordinacijske sposobnosti i pojačane antitumorske aktivnosti. Ligandi su priređini iz aldehida funkcionaliziranih: hidroksilnom skupinom na različitim mjestima u fenilnom fragmentu, hidroksilnom skupinom na naftilnom fragmentu, metoksidinom skupinom na različitim mjestima u naftilnom fragmentu te različitim piridinskim i kinolinskim prstenovima. Istražen je utjecaj prirode aldehidnog dijela 2-benzotiazolilhidrazona na: antitumorsku aktivnost, planarnost molekule, vrstu geometrijskog izomera s obzirom na egzocikličku iminsku vezu, preferirani tautomerni oblik te tip osnovnog supramolekulskog motiva u kristalnoj strukturi. Reakcijama oksobis(pentan-2,4-dionato)vanadija(IV) s 2-benzotizaolilhidrazonima priređeni su dioksovanadijevi(V) kompleksi tipa [VO2HL]. Dodatkom trietilamina (Et3N) ili 1,10-fenantrolina (phen) u reakcijsku smjesu priređeni su dioksovanadijevi(V) Et3NH[VO2L] i oksovanadijevi(IV) [VOL(phen)] kompleksi. Uspoređena je antitumorska aktivnost te strukturne fleksibilnosti 2-benzotiazolilhidrazona i njihovih vanadijevih koordinacijskih spojeva. Ispitan je utjecaj donornih atoma 2-benzotiazolilhidrazona na nastanak supramolekulskih sintona u kristalnoj strukturi vanadijevih kompleksa.

Abstract (english)

Through condensation reactions of 2-hydrazinobenzothiazole with different aromatic aldehydes (Ar−CHO) 2-benzothiazolylhydrazone ligand systems H2L (H2L = Bzt−NH−N=C−Ar; Bzt=benzotiazolil) with increased coordination capabilities and enhanced antitumor activity were prepared. Ligands were prepared from aldehydes functionalized by: hydroxyl group at different sites in the phenyl fragment, hydroxyl group at the naphthyl fragment, methoxy group at different sites in the naphthyl fragment and different pyridine and quinoline rings. The influence of the aldehyde precursor of 2-benzothiazolylhydrazones on the: antitumor activity, planarity of the molecule, type of geometric isomer with respect to the exocyclic imino bond, preferred tautomeric form and the type of supramolecular motif in the crystal structure was investigated. The reaction of oxobis(pentane-2,4-dionato)vanadium(IV) with 2-benzothiazolylhydrazones resulted in [VO2HL] complexes. The addition of triethylamine (Et3N) or 1,10-phenantroline (phen) to the reaction mixture yielded dioxovandium(V) Et3NH[VO2L] and oxovandium(IV) [VOL(phen)] complexes. Antitumor activity and structural flexibility of 2-benzothiazolylhydrazones and their vanadium coordination compounds were compared. The effect of donor atoms of 2-benzothiazolylhydrazones on the formation of supramolecular synthons in the crystal structure of vanadium complexes was investigated.
