Abstract

Koraligenska zajednica je jedna od najvažnijih biocenoza po bogatstvu vrsta u Sredozemnom moru, pa tako i u istočnom dijelu Jadrana. Veliku bioraznolikost unutar koraligenske biocenoze imaju alge, spužve, koralji i mahovnjaci, skupine koje pokazuju veliku osjetljivost na globalne klimatske promjene. Istraživanje se napravilo na 20 lokaliteta sa dobro razvijenom koraligenskom zajednicom. Istraživane postaje su smještene duž obale i otoka sjevernog, srednjeg i južnog Jadrana. Utvrđeno je ukupno 556 vrsta morskih alga i životinja. Utvrđene vrste koraligenske biocenoze na istraživanim postajama široko su rasprostranjene duž cijele istočne strane Jadranskog mora, te pokazuju relativnu uniformnost vrsta koraligena Jadrana.Nagle promjene ekoloških čimbenika, prvenstveno temperature mora, glavni su razlog masovnih uginuća vrsta u koraligenu koja su zabilježena u posljednjih dvadesetak godina. Temperature mora istraživanih postaja na dubinama od 30 i 40 metara pokazuju visoke ljetne temperaturne anomalije za ove dubine i penju se do 24°C. Utjecaj povišene temperature mora primijećen je na svim istraživanim postajama, ali je bio manji nego prijašnjih godina. Sve odabrane vrste indikatori pokazuju stupnjeve oštećenja među kojima su najugroženije gorgonije Eunicela cavolini i Paramuricea clavata. Ugrožene su spužve, kameni koralji i mahovnjaci.Iako postoji velika prijetnja sesilnim morskim organizmima zbog globalnih klimatskih promjena, stanje koraligenske biocenoze u Jadranskom moru i dalje je dobro i zadovoljavajuće.

Abstract (english)

Coralligenous community is one of the most important and rich biocenoses in the Mediterranean Sea, and so in the eastern Adriatic Sea. The high biodiversity of the community mainly consists of algae, sponges, corals, and bryozoa. These organisms are vulnerable to global climate change.The research was made on 20 sites with abundant coralline communities. Research sites were positioned along the coast and on the northern, middle and southern islands of the Adriatic Sea. A total of 556 species of algae and animals were determined. Coralligene communities found on the eastern coasts of the Adriatic Sea, show a relatively uniform structure regarding the species they are made of. A high number of coralligenous species have died over the past 20 years due to the massive change of environmental factors, primarily the sea temperature. Temperatures on research sites taken from the depths of 30 and 40 meters show high-temperature anomalies during the summer months, witch climb up to 24-degree Celcius. High-temperature effects have been sighted on all of the sites, having a larger impact now than ever before. All of the chosen indicator species are showing some degree of damage. The most endangered ones are gorgonians Eunicela cavolini and Paramuricea clavata. There is a great number of sponge,coral and bryozoa species who are also endangered. Despite the threats of climate change on the sessile organisms of the coralligenous community,the state of the community is still good.
