Abstract

Urbani prostor kompleksni je heterogeni sustav koji se može promatrati na različite načine. Njegova kompleksnost proizlazi iz mozaičnosti prostora te interakcija podloge, ljudi i živog svijeta. Za njegovo proučavanje potrebno je odrediti prostornu i vremensku razinu na kojoj se promatra, jer rezultati i zaključci na različitim razinama mogu biti kontradiktorni, što utječe i na samo upravljanje bioraznolikošću unutar njega. Kako bi se uspješno upravljalo urbanim prostorom, potrebno je definirati ciljeve koji se žele postići na određenoj razini. Pitanja vezana za upravljanje mogu se ticati njegovog utjecaja na okolni ekosustav, povećanja bioraznolikosti unutar urbanog prostora ili upravljanja nepoželjnim vrstama, a metode se razlikuju ovisno o prostoru i ciljanim skupinama. Prilikom upravljanja urbanim prostorom, također je bitno osvijestiti stanovništvo o beneficijama povećanja bioraznolikosti i njihovim utjecajima na bioraznolikost, kako ne bi došlo do sukoba interesa.

Abstract (english)

Urban area is a complex heterogeneous system that can be studied in different ways. Its complexity stems from its mosaic structure and the interactions of the environment, people and the living world. It is necessary to determine the spatial and temporal level on which it is studied, because the results and conclusions at different levels can be contradictory, which then affects the very management of biodiversity within it. In order to successfully manage urban space, it is necessary to define the goals to be achieved at a certain level. Management issues can concern its impact on the surrounding ecosystem, increasing biodiversity within urban space, or managing undesirable species, and methods vary depending on the area and target groups. When managing urban space, it is also important to make the general public aware of the benefits of increasing biodiversity and their impacts on biodiversity, in order to avoid conflicts of interest.
