Abstract

Rad suvremenih navigacijskih instrumenata temelji se na različitim fizikalnim procesima. Primjer takvog instrumenta je magnetomjerni kompas, vrsta kompasa koji mjeri smjer i iznos magnetskog polja. Rad magnetomjernog kompasa temelji se na nelinearnosti magnetizacije magnetskih materijala i elektromagnetskoj indukciji. U radu su opisane karakteristike magnetomjernog kompasa jednostavne strukture. Navedeni su zahtjevi za magnetske materijale koji se upotrebljavaju u magnetomjernom kompasu. Princip rada detaljno je opisan za izvedbu u kojoj se elementarni osjetnik sastoji od dvije feromagnetske jezgre i tri zavojnice. Magnetomjerni kompas uspoređen je s magnetskim kompasom s obzirom na područje primjenjivosti te s obzirom na točnost i preciznost. Zbog cjelovitosti navedena su osnovna svojstva magnetskog polja Zemlje.

Abstract (english)

The operation of modern navigation instruments is based on various physical processes. An example of such an instrument is a fluxgate compass, a type of compass that measures direction and magnitude of magnetic field. The operation of fluxgate compass is based on nonlinearity of magnetization of magnetic materials and electromagnetic induction. Characteristics of a simple structure fluxgate compass are described in this paper. The requirements for magnetic materials used in a magnetometer compass are also given. The paper offers a detailed description of the operating principle of a configuration in which the elementary sensor consists of two ferromagnetic cores and three coils. The fluxgate compass is compared to the magnetic compass in terms of area of applicability and in terms of accuracy and precision. For clarity, the basic properties of the Earth’s magnetic field are listed.
