Abstract

U uvali Podstine na otoku Hvaru uzorkovani su laporoviti vapnenci. Iz uzorka dobivenog metodom mokrog prosijavanja i dodatnim usitnjavanjem primjenom mješavine zagrijane otopine 30% vodikovog peroksida i sode bikarbone, izdvojene su planktonske i bentičke foraminifere te je izračunat njihov udio u zajednici. Na temelju njihova udjela određena je i izračunata dubina taloženja koja odgovara batijalu. Usporedbom stratigrafskih raspona određenih vrsta planktonskih foraminifera, zaključeno je da se taloženje odvijalo tijekom mlađeg eocena, starost naslaga određena je kao zona P15 - Porticulasphaera semiinvoluta, odnosno zona E14 - Globigerinatheca semiinvoluta.

Abstract (english)

In Podstine bay on the island of Hvar, marly limestones were sampled. Using the method of wet sieving and additional comminution using a mixture of heated solution of 30% hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, planktonic and benthic foraminifera were isolated and their abundances in the community were calculated. Based on these calculations, the deposition depth corresponding to the bathyal was determined. The stratigraphic ranges of certain planktonic species point to Late Eocene. The deposits correspond to zone P15 - Porticulasphaera semiinvoluta and zone E14 - Globigerinatheca semiinvoluta.
