Abstract

U ovom završnom radu proučavane su karakteristike, porijeklo i sastav sedimenta plaže Lojišće
koja je smještena na Dugom otoku. Istraživanje je provedeno na 3 uzorka s plaže. Metode koje su
se primjenjivale uključivale su analizu veličine zrna metodom mokrog sijanja, određivanje
karbonatne komponente, mikroskopiranje te konačno analizu mineralnog sastava. Rezultati su
prezentirani brojčano te pomoću tablica, slika i dijagrama. Analizom rezultata ustanovljeno je da
se radi o biogenom sedimentu porijekla iz mora, iako je početna pretpostavka bila da je sediment
litogenog porijekla, odnosno da je nastao trošenjem stijena na kopnu.

Abstract (english)

In this bachelor thesis characteristics, the origin and composition of the sediment from Lojišće
beach, which is situated on Dugi otok, were studied. The research was conducted on 3 samples
from the beach. The methods used included grain size analysis using the wet sieving method,
determination of the carbonate component, microscopy, and finally analysis of the mineral
composition. The results are presented numerically and by using tables, pictures, and diagrams. By
the result analysis it was established that the samples are a biogenic sediment of marine origin,
although the initial assumption was that the sediment is of lithogenic origin, that is, it was created
by the weathering of rocks on land.
