Abstract

U okviru završnog rada opisana su mikrofiziografska obilježja gornjopaleozojskih pješčenjaka na području V. Črneca, Rude, Samoborsko gorje. Terenskim radom prikupljeno je nekoliko uzoraka duž dva izdanka u svrhu daljnjih laboratorijskih i kabinetskih ispitivanja. Cilj rada bio je determinirati i usporediti mikrofiziografske značajke prikupljenih pješčenjaka te načiniti interpretaciju rezultata. Zaključci su temeljeni na rezultatima detaljnih petrografskih analiza upotrebom polarizacijskog mikroskopa te komparacijama s relevantnim i aktualnim znanstvenim publikacijama. Na temelju sveobuhvatnih rezultata istraživanja, uočena je prilična sličnost mikroskopskih karakteristika između proučavanih uzoraka pješčenjaka. Uzorci su klasificirani kao litoareniti, prvenstveno prema procijenjenim postotnim udjelima konstituenata prisutnih u stijeni. Izvorišno područje je primarno sastavljeno od metamorfnih stijena, uz podređenije sedimentne stijene. Pješčenjaci su mineraloški nezreli. Javljaju se alteracije i potiskivanja manje stabilnih konstituenata kroz procese trošenja, dijageneze i transporta. Transport je umjerenog intenziteta i trajanja, dovodeći detritus u sedimentacijski bazen vjerojatne geotektonske pozicije na pasivnom kontinentskom rubu.

Abstract (english)

In the scope of this paper, thin section properties of the Upper Paleozoic sandstones at the V. Črnec area, Rude, Samobor Mountains, have been described. Through fieldwork, several samples were collected along two outcrops for the purpose of further laboratory and cabinet examinations. The aim of this study was to determine and compare thin section properties of the collected sandstones and to interpret the results. The conclusions are based on the results of detailed petrographic analysis using a polarizing microscope and comparisons with relevant and current scientific publications. Based on the comprehensive research results, a considerable similarity of microscopic characteristics was noticed among the studied sandstone samples. Samples were classified as the lithoarenite, primarily according to the estimated percentages of the constituents present in the rock. The source area is primarily composed of metamorphic rocks, with subordinate sedimentary rocks. The sandstones are mineralogically immature. Alterations and repressions of less stable constituents occur through weathering, diagenetic and transport processes. The intensity and duration of the transport is moderate, bringing detritus into the sedimentation basin of probable geotectonic position at the passive continental margin.
