Abstract

Brojni pritisci kojima su izložene biološke zajednice u rijekama uključuju organsko
opterećenje vode i eutrofikaciju, onečišćenje sedimenta, hidromorfološku degradaciju i
utjecaj alohtonih invazivnih vrsta, što je naročito izraženo na velikim nizinskim rijekama.
Cilj ove disertacije je bio utvrditi utjecaj navedenih pritisaka na zajednicu
makrozoobentosa u hrvatskim velikim rijekama (Mura, Drava, Sava i Dunav).
Istraživanje je provedeno u razdoblju 2015. - 2016. godine na 49 mjernih postaja.
Utvrđeno je da svi analizirani pritisci imaju utjecaj na sastav i strukturu zajednice
makrozoobentosa što se očituje kroz mjerljive vrijednosti pojedinih bioloških metrika.
Najveći utjecaj na strukturiranje zajednica imaju alohtone vrste. Procjena
hidromorfološkog stanja na temelju makrozoobentosa kroz modul opća degradacija daje
relativno pouzdane rezultate. U svrhu procjene organskog opterećenja i eutrofikacije na
temelju makrozoobentosa formiran je multimetrički indeks.

Abstract (english)

Biological assemblages in rivers are exposed to numerous pressures including organic
loading and eutrophication, sediment pollution, hydromorphological degradation and the
influence of non-indigenous species, which all especially applies to large lowland rivers.
The aim of this dissertation was to determine the impact of the aforementioned pressures
on the benthic macroinvertebrate assemblages in large rivers in Croatia (Sava, Mura,
Danube and Drava). The research was conducted in the period 2015 - 2016 at 49 sampling
stations. It was found that all study pressures have impacts on the benthic
macroinvertebrate assemblages which is reflected in the measurable values of certain
biological metrics. Non-indigenous species have the greatest influence on the structuring
of assemblages. The assessment of hydromorphological status based on the benthic
macroinvertebrates through the general degradation module provides reliable results. For
the purpose of assessing organic load and eutrophication based on benthic
macroinvertebrates, a multimetric index was formed.
