Abstract

U ovom radu smo proučavali oblikovanje prostornog uzorka u biološkim sustavima pomoću reakcijsko-difuzijskog modela. Glavna svrha ovog rada bila je istražiti uvjete pod kojima se formiraju prostorni obrasci te kako različiti čimbenici utječu na oblikovanje tih uzoraka. Prvo poglavlje sadrži osnovne pojmove vezane uz diferencijalne jednadžbe, sustave diferencijalnih jednadžbi i stabilnost rješenja tih sustava. U drugom poglavlju, uvodimo opći oblik jednadžbe reakcijsko-difuzijskog modela s dvije kemijske vrste, s danim početnim uvjetima i rubnim uvjetima nultog toka koji impliciraju da nema vanjskog utjecaja na sustav. Za taj model izvodimo uvjete za stvaranje prostornog uzorka te promatramo kako veličina prostorne domene utječe na formiranje obrazaca. Na kraju razmatramo pojednostavljeni model reakcijske difuzije s jednom kemijskom vrstom. Fokusiramo se na određivanje kritične veličine domene u ovom modelu te analiziramo slučaj kada vanjski čimbenici utječu na sustav, odnosno kada nisu ispunjeni uvjeti nultog toka.

Abstract (english)

In this study, we examined the spatial pattern formation in biological systems using a reaction-diffusion model. The main purpose of this work was to examine the conditions under which spatial patterns are formed and how various factors influence the shaping of these patterns. The initial chapter contains basic terms related to differential equations, systems of differential equations, and the stability of solutions within these systems. In the second chapter, we introduce the general form of the reaction-diffusion model involving two chemical species, along with given initial conditions and zero-flux boundary conditions implying no external influences on the system. For this model, we derive the conditions necessary for the emergence of spatial patterns and observe how the size of the spatial domain influences the development of these patterns. Finally, we analyze a simplified reaction-diffusion model featuring a singular chemical species. Our focus is on determining the critical domain size within this model and examining the scenario in which external factors impact the system, in other words, when the zero-flux conditions are not satisfied.
