Abstract

Promet i javni gradski prijevoz ključne su funkcije gradova. U Gradu Splitu se javni gradski prijevoz počeo razvijati početkom 20. stoljeća. Danas u Gradu postoji autobusna i željeznička mreža javnog prijevoza. Analizirano je trenutačno stanje mreže linija i problemi s kojima se stanovništvo susreće kretanjem Gradom. Promet je gušće i efikasnije organiziran u samom gradu nego u okolnim naseljima. Istaknuti problemi u organizaciji su spora modernizacija prometnog sustava i visoka cijena usluge.

Abstract (english)

Transportation and public urban transport are key functions of cities. In the City of Split, public transport began to develop at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, there is a bus and a train public transport network in the City. The current state of the network and the problems that the population encounters in moving around the City are analyzed. Traffic is more densely and efficiently organized in the city itself rather than in the surrounding settlements. Key problems are the slow modernization of the transport system and the high cost of services.
