Abstract

U radu se analiziraju utjecaji između modernog ratovanja i okoliša, od razdoblja Prvog svjetskog rata. Analizom različitih povijesnih slučajeva, bez regionalne ograničenosti, identificiraju se zakonitosti u njihovim međuodnosima. U prvom dijelu rada identificiraju se
okolišni elementi ili cjeline te se analizira njihov utjecaj na vojna djelovanja tijekom ratova. Utvrđuju se obilježja i utjecaji okolišnih faktora ratovanja s obzirom na prostorno-vremenski aspekt te pozitivni i negativni utjecaji na vojna djelovanja. U zasebnom poglavlju ispituje se i utjecaj okoliša na nastajanje ratnih sukoba. U drugom dijelu rada analiziraju se utjecaji ratnih i neratnih vojnih djelovanja na okoliš s obzirom na prostorni i vremenski razmjer posljedica, izravne i neizravne utjecaje te negativne i pozitivne posljedice. U posljednjem poglavlju ponuđena su različita rješenja s ciljem zaštite okoliša.

Abstract (english)

This thesis analyses the impacts between modern warfare and environment, from World War I onward. By analysing variety of historical examples/cases, with no regional limitations, it identifies laws of warfare-environment relations. First part of thesis identifies environmental elements or structures and analyses their impact on warfare. It identifies characteristics and the impact features of environmental factors in warfare through spatial-temporal aspect, and also positive-negative influences on warfare. Particular chapter thematises the effect of environment on generating armed conflicts. Second part of thesis analyses impacts of war-related and military-related activities on environment while considering spatial and temporal scale of impacts, direct and indirect impacts and positive and negative impacts. Final chapter offers different solutions in environmental protection.
