Abstract

U okolici grada Zagreba postoji nekoliko turistički uređenih podzemnih objekata. U ovom su radu opisani trenutna geoturistička ponuda i geološke karakteristike špilje Veternice i rudnika Zrinski na području Parka Prirode Medvednica te Grgosove špilje i Rudnika sveta Barbara na području Samoborskog gorja. Napravljena je mikroskopska analiza reprezentativnih uzoraka stijena s odabranih lokaliteta te su opisani njihov sastav i karakteristike s ciljem da rezultati dobiveni ovim radom postanu dodatan sadržaj geoturističke ponude. Stijene unutar kojih su formirane obje špilje uglavnom su vapnenci miocenske starosti taloženi u plitkom moru te su bogati mikrofosilima iz skupina crvenih algi, foraminifera, mahovnjaka i ježinaca. Mineralizacija na području rudnika Zrinski koji se nalazi u dolomitima pripada Mississippi Valley tipu, a u okolici rudnika nalaze se zeleni škriljavci. Mineralizacija na području rudnika sveta Barbara ima karakteristike stratabound i SEDEX mineralizacije, a najčešći rudni minerali su siderit, hematit, halkopirit, barit, galenit, gips i drugi. Na kraju rada nalaze se skice potencijalnih edukativnih tabli za svaki od istraživanih objekata.

Abstract (english)

In the vicinity of Zagreb, there are several tourist visitor-friendly underground objects. This thesis describes the current geotourist offer and geological characteristics of the Veternica cave and the Zrinski mine of the Nature Park Medvednica and the Grgos cave and the Saint Barbara mine of the Samobor Mountains. The microscopic analysis of representative rock samples from selected localities was performed and their composition and characteristics were described with the aim of making the results obtained by this work an additional content of the geotourism offer. The rocks within both of the caves were formed are mostly Miocene limestones deposited in a shallow sea and are rich in microfossils of the following groups: red algae, foraminifera, bryozoa and sea urchins. The mineralization in the area of the Zrinski mine is of the Mississippi Valley-type, and in the vicinity of the mine, there is a greenschist. Mineralization in the Saint Barbara mine area has the characteristics of stratabound and SEDEX mineralization and its most common ore minerals are siderite, hematite, chalcopyrite, barite, galena, gypsum and others. Potential educational boards for each of the researched objects can be found at the end of the thesis.
