Abstract

Ovaj rad bavi se vojno-geografskom analizom operacije Bljesak provedene od 1. do 4. svibnja 1995. Primjenom GIS-a provedena je efikasna i precizna analiza terena na kojemu se operacija odvijala. Analiza je podijeljena u dva dijela – analiza prohodnosti terena i analiza zaštitnog potencijala reljefa. Pri tome su korišteni parametri kao što su vidljivost, zakrivljenost i nagib padine, gustoća drenažne mreže i dr. Rezultat je klasificiran i preklopljen s pravcima kretanja hrvatske vojske.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents military-geographical analysis of operation Flash which was carried out from May 1 to May 4 1995. By using GIS, an efficient and precise analysis of the terrain on which the operation took place was made. The analysis is divided into two parts – analysis of the passage of the terrain and analysis of the relief protective potential. Parameters such as visibility, curvature, slope, density of the drainage network etc. were used. The result is classified and overlapped with the direction of movement of the Croatian army.
