Abstract

Precizno lociranje potresa vrlo je važno za određivanje bitnih informacija o potresu, značajki
žarišta potresa, brzu procjenu seizmičke opasnosti te daljnja tektonska tumačenja, ali i
buduće procjene seizmičkog hazarda. Međutim, kako bi se seizmički hazard mogao što bolje
procijeniti potrebna su predznanja vezana uz geodinamiku i geologiju promatranog područja
te njegove seizmičke povijesti.
Grad Zagreb i šire zagrebačko područje pripada seizmički aktivnom području, a potresnu
povijest... More istraživanog područja moguće je pratiti od 16. stoljeća. Posljednji značajni potres
magnitude 5,3 na ovom području dogodio se 22. ožujka 2020. godine. Nakon glavnog
potresa 2020. godine na širem zagrebačkom području dogodila se serija potresa. U radu je
napravljena analiza automatske detekcije potresa na osnovu kontinuiranih zapisa
podrhtavanja tla na setu postaja, automatsko određivanje dolazaka P i S valova i maksimalne
amplitude na pojedinoj fazi te automatska lokacija hipocentara zagrebačke serije potresa iz
2020. godine pomoću softverskog paketa SEISAN.

Abstract (english)

The precise location of earthquakes is very important for determining essential information
about the earthquake, features of the earthquake focus, quick assessment of the seismic
hazard and further tectonic interpretations, as well as future assessments of the seismic
hazard. However, in order to assess the seismic hazard as well as possible, prior knowledge
of the geodynamics and geology of the observed area and its seismic history is required.
The city of Zagreb and the wider Zagreb... More area belong to a seismically active area, and the
seismic history of the researched area can be traced back to the 16th century. The last
significant earthquake of magnitude 5.3 in this area occurred on March 22, 2020. After the
main earthquake in 2020, a series of earthquakes occurred in the wider Zagreb area. In the
paper, an analysis of automatic earthquake detection based on continuous records of ground
shaking at a set of stations, automatic determination of P and S wave arrivals and maximum
amplitude at a particular phase, and automatic location of hypocenters of the Zagreb series
of earthquakes from 2020 using the SEISAN software package was made.
Based on the conducted research, it can be concluded that the automatic detection and
location of earthquake hypocenters greatly reduces the processing time of huge amounts of
data from a few months to a few days. Less
