Abstract

U ovom radu istražen je utjecaj fluorescentne i LED rasvjete na rast i fotosintezu vodene leće (Lemna minor L.). Biljke su uzgajane 14 dana u dvije supkulture, na dvjema različitim hranjivim podlogama - hranjivoj podlozi po Steinbergu te hranjivoj podlozi po Pirsonu i Seidelu. Tip rasvjete značajnije je utjecao na rezultate nego sastav hranjive podloge. Tako su prirast broja biljaka, mase svježe tvari te prirast broja kolonija kao i ukupna površina biljaka bili veći pri fluorescentnoj rasvjeti. Na sadržaj proteina i aktivnost enzima gvajakol peroksidaze veći je učinak imao sastav hranjive podloge. Ta su dva parametra bila viša u biljaka koje su rasle na podlozi po Pirsonu i Seidelu što je naročito došlo do izražaja u drugoj supkulturi. Sadržaj fotosintetskih pigmenata bio je u svim grupama biljaka viši u prvoj supkulturi, dok je u drugoj supkulturi utvrđena značajno viša količina pigmenata u biljaka izloženih LED rasvjeti u usporedbi s biljkama uzgajanim na fluorescentnoj rasvjeti. U biljaka uzgajanih na podlozi po Steinbergu i pri LED rasvjeti je, u usporedbi s fluorescentnom rasvjetom, uočeno značajno povećanje efektivnog prinosa fotosustava II, stope prijenosa elektrona i fotokemijskog gašenja u drugoj supkulturi. Prema dobivenim rezultatima može se zaključiti da je tijekom pokusa rast bio bolji kod biljaka uzgajanih na fluorescentnoj rasvjeti, dok je fotosintetska učinkovitost bila veća kod biljaka uzgajanih pri LED rasvjeti.

Abstract (english)

In this experiment the effect of fluorescent and LED light on growth and photosynthesis of duckweed (Lemna minor L.) was evaluated. Plants were grown on two different nutrient solutions – Steinberg medium and Pirson and Seidel medium, for 14 days in two subcultures. Light type influenced the results more significantly than the composition of nutrient media. Growth rates based on frond number, fresh weight, number of colonies as well as total plant surface were better under fluorescent light. Protein content and guaiacol peroxidase activity were more influenced by the composition of nutrient media. These two parameters were higher in plants grown on Pirson and Seidel medium, especially in the second subculture. In general, the content of photosynthetic pigments was higher in the first subculture. In the second subculture the content of pigments under LED light exceeded the content of pigments in plants grown under fluorescent light. In plants grown on Steinberg medium and under LED light significant increase of effective quantum yield of photosystem II, electron transport rate and photochemical quenching, compared to fluorescent light, has been noticed in the second subculture. According to obtained results it can be concluded that growth of duckweed plants during 14-days experiment was better under fluorescent light, while the photosynthetic performance was better in plants grown under LED light.
