Abstract

Transpiracija je proces evaporacije vode s površine listova. Regulirana je pučima, a rezultira kontinuiranim prijenosom vode iz korijena biljke u atmosferu. U većini kopnenih ekosustava, transpiracija je najveća komponenta evapotranspiracije tj. ukupnog protoka vode koji se izmjenjuje između atmosfere i biosfere. Cilj ovog rada bio je analizirati podatke protoka ksilemskog soka hrasta lužnjaka u spačvanskoj šumi koji su neizravna mjera za transpiraciju, povezati ih s procesima evapotranspiracije i fotosinteze te utvrditi hijerarhiju okolišnih čimbenika koji utječu na dinamiku transpiracije. Rezultati su pokazali da su podaci daljinskog motrenja za evapotranspiraciju (produkt MOD16A2GF) i Suncem induciranu fluorescenciju (produkt TROPOSIF) uspješno objašnjavali dinamiku transpiracije hrasta lužnjaka tijekom vegetacijske sezone. Također, vegetacijski indeks SELI, dobiven putem snimki senzora Sentinel-2, detektirao je sezonski vrhunac dnevne transpiracije, na temelju čega se modeli mogu dodatno poboljšati. Metode korištene u ovom radu mogu se koristiti za nastavak praćenja sezonske dinamike transpiracije u spačvanskoj šumi, kao i primijeniti na podatke nadolazećih generacija satelitskih sustava.

Abstract (english)

Transpiration is the process of water evaporation from the leaf surface. It is regulated by stomata, and results in a continuous transfer of water from the roots of the plant to the atmosphere. In most terrestrial ecosystems, transpiration is the largest component of evapotranspiration which is the total flow of water exchanged between the atmosphere and the biosphere. This study analysed xylem sap flow data of the pedunculate oak in the Spačva forest, as a proxy for transpiration, relating it evapotranspiration and photosynthesis processes. Additionally, the study aimed to determine the hierarchy of environmental factors influencing transpiration dynamics. The results showed that remote sensing data for evapotranspiration (from the MOD16A2GF product) and sun-induced fluorescence (from the TROPOSIF product) successfully captured transpiration dynamics of pedunculate oak during the growing season. The vegetation index SELI, derived from Sentinel-2 sensor images, detected the seasonal peak of daily transpiration, based on which models can be further improved. The methods used in this study can help in monitoring of transpiration dynamics and be applied to data from upcoming generations of satellite systems.
