Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad sastoji se od dvije cjeline: istraživačkog i metodičkog dijela. U istraživačkom dijelu sintetizirani su heksafluoroacetilacetonatni (hfac) kompleksi kadmija(II) s N-(piridin-3- il)propanamidom (3-propy), N-(piridin-3-il)etanamidom (3-acpy), N-(piridin-4-il)propanamidom (4- propy) i N-(piridin-4-il)etanamidom (4-acpy). Spojevi su priređeni klasičnim otopinskim i mehanokemijskim sintetskim postupcima. Kompleksi su okarakterizirani IR spektroskopijom, metodom rentgenske difrakcije u polikristalnom uzorku i termogravimetrijskom analizom. Difrakcijom rentgenskih zraka u jediničnom kristalu određena je molekulska i kristalna struktura spoja [Cd(hfac)2(3-propy)2]. Ustanovljeno je da su mehanokemijski postupci priprave ove klase liganada kao i koordinacijskih spojeva pogodniji u odnosu na klasičnu otopinsku sintezu. U metodičkom dijelu rada osmišljen je prijedlog nastavnog sata na temu „Keto-enolna tautomerija”. Prijedlog nastavnog sata namijenjen je završnom razredu gimnazijskog smjera, a temelji se na strategiji učenja otkrivanjem. Učenici trebaju biti dobro pripremljeni za ovakav nastavni sat (navedeni su nužni ulazni obrazovni ishodi) i vještine u izvođenju pokusa.

Abstract (english)

This Diploma thesis consists of two parts: the research part and the methodical part. In the research part a series of hexafluoroacetyacetonato (hfac) cadmium(II) coordination compounds N-(pyridin-3- yl)propionamide (3-propy), N-(pyridin-3-yl)acetamide (3-acpy), N-(pyridin-4-yl)propionamide (4- propy) i N-(pyridin-4-yl)acetamide (4-acpy) were prepared. The compounds were synthesized by classical solution and mechanochemical synthetic procedures and characterized by infrared spectroscopy, PXRD methods and thermal analysis. Molecular and crystal structure of the compound [Cd(hfac)2(3-propy)2] was determined by single crystal X-ray structure analysis. It has been found that the mechanochemical synthetic procedures are more suitable for the preparation of this class of ligands as well as coordination compounds than the classical solution synthesis. In the methodical part of the thesis, a teaching lesson is designed that deals with Keto-enol tautomerism. The proposed lesson may be applied at the end of high school course of organic chemistry and is based on the strategy of inquiry learning with special emphasis on the use of experiment. Students should be well prepared and skilled in experimental work.
