Abstract
Ris spada u porodicu mačaka čiji su se članovi najviše specijalizirali od svih mesojedih sisavaca. Ris je mačka koja u mitologiji predstavlja lukavu, tajanstvenu životinju, čuvara šumskih tajni, koji sve vidi bez da bude viđen. To je i jedan od razloga zašto je teško pratiti život te životinje u divljini, ali nije glavni razlog zbog kojeg je ris slabo istražena i proučavana vrsta u Hrvatskoj. Potrebno je posvetiti više pažnje proučavanju ove vrste jer...„ris nas uči da i najmanji mogu uspjeti u životu, te da se svijet otkriva onima koji se zaustave i slušaju.“ (NA)
Abstract (english)
Euroasian lynx is member of the cat family whose members are the most specialized animals among carnivorous mammals. In mythology, lynx represents elusive, mysterious animal, the keeper of secrets in the forest, who sees everything without being seen. It is one of the reasons why it's so hard to monitor this animal in wilderness, but it is not the main resaon why lynx is being so poorly researched in Croatia. It is necessary to contribute more interest to researching this species because „…the Lynx teaches us that even the smallest can succeed in life, and that the world can unfold itself to those who stop and listen.“ (UA)
