Abstract

Teorija rizika je drugi izraz za matematiku neživotnog osiguranja. Ona se bavi modeliranjem i izračunom šteta koje osiguravajuće društvo isplaćuje osiguranim klijentima, kao i procjenom rizika od gubitka u portfelju. Cilj ovog rada je uvesti osnovne pojmove i koncepte u teoriji rizika pomoću kojih je moguće modelirati situacije prisutne u stvarnom svijetu. Promatraju se procesi obnavljanja pomoću kojih se modeliraju vremena dolazaka šteta. Iznose se neki najvažniji rezultati u teoriji obnavljanja te se posebna pažnja posvećuje Poissonovom procesu. Potom se promatraju procesi ukupnih šteta koji, osim vremena dolazaka šteta, uzimaju u obzir iznos isplaćenih šteta. Navode se neki najvažniji rezultati, s posebnim naglaskom na složeni Poissonov proces. Najveći dio rada posvećen je teoriji nesolventnosti i Sparre Andersenovom modelu. Osnovno pitanje je hoće li u nekom trenutku isplaćene štete premašiti iznos uplaćenih premija. Prvi trenutak kada isplaćene štete premašuju uplaćene premije naziva se vrijeme propasti. Izvodi se formula za funkciju gustoće vremena propasti u posebnom slučaju kada isplate prate eksponencijalnu distribuciju. U općem slučaju predlaže se metoda za aproksimaciju distribucije vremena propasti koja se zasniva na Monte Carlo simulacijama. U radu se također mogu naći neki osnovni rezultati iz Lévyjevih procesa i teorije vjerojatnosti koji se koriste u ovom radu.

Abstract (english)

Risk theory is a synonym for non-life insurance mathematics. It deals with modeling of claims that arrive in an insurance business and risk valuation of loss in portfolio. The main goal of this paper is to introduce basic concepts in risk theory which could model real-life situations. We study renewal processes which could be used to model arrival of claims. Some important results in renewal theory are listed and Poisson process is of special interest. Next we observe the total claim amount processes which could be used to model claims which insurance company discharges. Like in renewal theory, some important results are listed with special interest in compound Poisson process. The biggest part of this work is dedicated to ruin theory and Sparre Andersen model. The object of interest is time of ruin which is defined as the first time when accumulated claims surpass premium. We derive a closed-form representation for the distribution of the ruin time for the Sparre Andersen model with exponentially distributed claims. For general model, algorithm based on Monte Carlo simulation is proposed. In this work it could also be found some basic results on Lévy processes and probability theory which are used in this paper.
