Abstract

Tijekom dva stoljeća japanski matematičari, djeca i ostali zaljubljenici u matematiku stvarali su sangaku - drvene ploče u hramovima ukrašene geometrijskim problemima koje su ujedno bile umjetnička djela, religiozni artefakti i zapisi takozvane hramske, narodne matematike. Dakle, sangaku je primjer geometrije u izrazito japanskom stilu. U ovom radu ćemo se upoznati, naučiti cijeniti i rješavati sangaku probleme koristeći matematičke metode kao što su sličnost, homotetija, potencija točke...

Abstract (english)

For two centuries Japanese mathematicians, children and other mathematic lovers created sangaku - wooden tablets in temples decorated with geometrical problems, which were simultaneously works of art, religious offerings, and a record of what we might call folk mathematics. Therefore, sangaku is an example of geometry in a distinctly Japanese style. In this paper you will be invited not only to encounter sangaku, but to appreciate it.
