Abstract

Na sjeveroistočnoj Medvednici, u okolici Planine Gornje, uz cestu za Karivaroš, nalaze se izdanci klastičnih i piroklastičnih naslaga, u kojima se mjestimice nađu brojni fosili slatkovodnih mekušaca (školjkaša, slatkovodnih puževa), ostrakoda, riba i drugih organizama. Donjobadenska starost glinovitih naslaga u južnom dijelu terena određena je na temelju proslojaka tufa. Pločasti vapnenci na sjevernom dijelu terena ne sadrže fosile, ali su, prema analogiji sa susjednim područjima, svrstani u panonske Croatica naslage. Najmlađi, svijetli lapori s ostrakodima i ostacima riba određeni su kao Banatica naslage.

Abstract (english)

In the northeastern part of the Medvednica Mt., near the village Planina Gornja, along the road towards Karivaroš, clastic and pyroclastic Miocene deposits crop out, sporadically comprising numerous fossils of freshwater molluscs (bivalves, freshwater gastropods), ostracodes, fish and other organisms. The determined age of argilaceous deposits in southern part of the terrain as Lower Badenian is based on tuffitic interlayers. Laminar limestones in the northern part of the terrain do not contain fossils, but if compared with vicinal areas, they are classified as Croatica deposits. The youngest sediments, bright marls with ostracods and fish remains are classified as Banatica deposits.
