Abstract

Urolitijaza je bolest kod koje dolazi do pojave mineralizacije te nastanka bubrežnih kamenaca unutar bubrežnog i mokraćnog sustava ljudi i životinja. Za njezino uspješno liječenje i sprječavanje ponovne pojave poželjno je odrediti mineralni sastav kamenaca u uzorcima. Najčešće metode koje se koriste za njihovu analizu su infracrvena spektroskopija s Fourierovom transformacijom (FT-IR) i rendgenska difrakcija na prahu (XRPD). Cilj ovoga rada bio je usporediti te dvije metode. Tijekom razdoblja... More od godine dana prikupljeno je dvanaest uzoraka bubrežnih kamenaca i dva kamenca iz prostate. Svi uzorci su uspješno analizirani i odreĎen im je mineralni sastav korištenjem FT-IR i XRPD metoda. Usporedba analiza se provela na kamencima od monomineralnih i/ili polimineralnih faza whewellita, weddellita, struvita, hidroksiapatita, uricita i cistina kao mineralnim fazama koje su najzastupljenije kod urolitijaza. Nakon provedenih analiza obje metode se mogu opisati prikladnim za analizu urolitijaza, meĎutim zbog brzine i ekonomskog aspekata prednost se može dati FT-IR metodi. Less

Abstract (english)

Urolithiasis is a disease in which mineralization occurs and leads to the formation of kidney stones within the renal and urinary systems of humans and animals. For its successful treatment and prevention of recurrence, it is desirable to determine the mineral composition of stones in the samples. The most common methods used for their analysis are Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). The aim of this paper was to compare these two methods. Over... More a period of one year, twelve samples of kidney stones and prostate stones were collected. All samples were successfully analyzed and their mineral composition was determined using FT-IR and XRPD methods. The comparison of analyzes was performed on stones from monomineral and / or polymineral phases of whewellite, weddellite, struvite, hydroxyapatite, uricite and cystine as mineral phases that are most prevalent in urolithiasis.
